Overview

Managing the Influence Process
This program provides instruction from presenters internal and external to the Agency. It is aimed at expanding the participants' understanding of the leadership skills required in situations where one has no direct authority. It integrates models of influence, feedback on influence practices, effective team performance, and personal development topic areas. Participants will receive instruction and participate in exercises in the areas of:
  • Models and Practices of Influence
  • Feedback on NASA Leadership Model
  • Leading Change through Influence
  • Strategic Perspectives
  • Influence and Interpersonal Problem Solving
  • Managing Careers
  • Influence Skills
  • Interpersonal Skills, Organization, and Teamwork

Who Should Attend
Individuals in the GS 13-15 grades who have significant leadership accountabilities, but who do not have any direct reports/subordinates.

Length of Course
Five and a half days - Sunday evening through noon Friday.

Travel information
Meals and lodging provided; travel cost paid by your Center.
